Salsa Piccante al Sorgo e Pesca

I put it on warm buttered biscuits last weekend and the smoky habanero hit right after the sweet peach, which is exactly the kind of layered thing I didn’t know I needed. The vinegar keeps it bright so it doesn’t get cloying, and now I’m finding excuses to drizzle it on everything.

The sorghum syrup is what makes this—it’s sweet but not cloying, and the smoky habanero creeps up right after. I slathered it on a warm biscuit and it hit exactly that Southern comfort spot. Definitely my new breakfast staple.
