The hot honey has just the right kick—sweet up front with a slow burn that doesn’t overpower the cornmeal’s nutty flavor. Made the johnny cakes for Sunday brunch and the whole pan was gone in ten minutes.

The johnny cake mix has that perfect cornmeal texture, and the hot honey drizzle is just sweet enough to balance it out. I’ve already used the set twice this week and it’s turned my plain weekday breakfast into something I actually look forward to.

Brunch felt special this weekend thanks to this duo—the johnny cakes have that hearty, rustic texture that soaks up the hot honey beautifully without getting soggy. Even the box itself felt like a thoughtful gift, sturdy enough to pass along. I’ve already put in a second order for my sister.
